After waiting a long time to receive my HD Hero helmetcam from when I ordered it on the NAB showroom floor, it finally arrived and I wanted to give it a test run. I mounted the camera to the inside of my windshield and set the camera to time-lapse mode. I had it take 1 picture every 2 seconds and then played it back at 24fps. I did some cropping and processing in After Effects.

Shot this with a high speed camera that records a 1:1 image at 500fps. It actually records a lot faster than that, but this particular project only needed about 500 fps to achieve the look we were going for.

This was part of the 2009 Crash The Superbowl competition but it didn’t make it into the final 5.

Wishful Chomping

This was one of my entries to the 2009 Crash The Superbowl competition but it didn’t make it into the final 5.

A group of friends and I got together over a weekend and shot 8 different commercials. 4 took place in an office and 4 were shot in black limbo with a high speed camera. Check out my other videos to see my other commercial.
