Clinking Tecates in the Tower Suites at Encore in Las Vegas. One of my bosses decided to throw an impromptu boys weekend in Vegas and set us up in a bunch of amazing suites at the Encore Towers.

This is a logo I came up with for my Dad’s 60th surprise birthday party. My mom and aunt had the idea to create a Japanese-style restaurant in our backyard for the guests of the party to eat at. They needed a logo for the fictitious place but knew they wanted to call it Masaru, which is my dad’s middle name. My mom and aunt printed them up and created chopstick wrappers, a big sign, and even name badges for the “servers” who happen to be my cousins and uncle. I created the text with stroked paths based off of several different “asian fonts” that I looked at online.

After waiting a long time to receive my HD Hero helmetcam from when I ordered it on the NAB showroom floor, it finally arrived and I wanted to give it a test run. I mounted the camera to the inside of my windshield and set the camera to time-lapse mode. I had it take 1 picture every 2 seconds and then played it back at 24fps. I did some cropping and processing in After Effects.

At his 2nd birthday party, Landon received a crisp one hundred dollar bill as a gift. The way he was holding it up to inspect it made me think he was checking for the watermark to make sure it was legit.

Robot Army

I made one robot and then dropped him into a cloner object from Mograph to quickly set him up in a squad of 25 robots.
